Today was so wild
Today was so wild in Ardgillan. My friend Brendan and I were soaked before we were even 5 minutes into our walk. We tried to keep as sheltered as possible but we still had to traverse the main open area in front of the Castle. There was no way to avoid being buffeted about by the high winds and driving sleet. Eventually soaked to the skin we cut our walk short and headed back to the car park. On the way a fallen tree blocked the path to the upper fields. It was the top part of one of the trees and had been broken off in the high winds. It was lucky it did not hit anyone as there was a large hole in the grass where it landed. Back home to a hot shower and a well deserved cup of coffee. The dogs were happy as usual, they do not mind the whatever the weather throws at us.
